Update on UIA Extraordinary General Assembly

16-17 May 2022, Madrid (Spain)

Dear President,

We refer to our earlier letter on dated 15 February 2022 informing you of the agenda for the upcoming Extraordinary General Assembly (EGA) that will be held in Madrid, Spain on 16 -17 May 2022, prior to the 2022 UIA International Forum on ‘Affordable Housing Activation: Removing Barriers’ (18 – 20 May 2022). Both events will be hosted by the Consejo Superior de los Colegios de Arquitectos de España (CSCAE).

Due to the disruption and uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in several countries around the world and in order to maximise the participation of all our Member Sections, this EGA will adopt a hybrid format, taking place at the Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid (COAM) and via Zoom. Kindly note that all voting will take place in real time according to the schedule indicated in the agenda.

We would, however, strongly urge as many Member Sections as possible to attend the EGA and the Forum physically to ensure more meaningful participation and deliberation.

We kindly ask that you assist both the CSCAE and the UIA Secretariat in the logistical preparation of the EGA by completing this Google Form and submitting it by Friday 1 April 2022 at 18:00 Paris time. Please be reminded that the Google Form must be submitted by only 1 designated representative of the Member Section.

Please note that  documentation for the EGA is available on the Member Area of the UIA website and will be regularly updated with new documents. We therefore invite you to check the Member Area regularly before and during the EGA. Furthermore, practical information concerning the location of the events and accommodation at negotiated rates for UIA delegates is also available on this platform in order to facilitate your participation.
